The imeptus for our topic- "Social Networking" seemed to stem from the adoption of a new software program for course management this year.

Brooklyn Friends School has chosen to use Eduvo as their course management system for both Middle and Upper School.

Eduvo is a course management system that includes both project management and social networking functionality, combing the power of three online tools into one package.  In sum, a course management system allows for an online presence for each class, including a calendar, forum or conference area, communal file storage (including photos/photo albums) and homework board without a teacher having to build a separate website.

We chose Eduvo as the system for the entire Middle and Upper School to use for course management as it offers the combined functionality of three powerful web-based tools- course management, project management and social networking- that students will need to learn to navigate among as citizens in the 21st century.
